A Tired Dog Is A Good Dog

Updated: Aug 9, 2018

What do these two pictures have in common? Both pictures show a doggy daycare setting. Now, some people may ask the following question:

-Why should I send my puppy/adult dog to a daycare facility?

The Answer: Because a tired dog is a good dog!!

If you are like me, a lover of animals, then you know that our puppies and adult dogs have a lot of energy! When our dogs don't get the exercise they need and release their energy, they can develop anxiety issues. Now when I say anxiety issues, its not the kind we have, but more along the lines of starting those nasty problematic behaviors! You know...The Barking, Jumping, Destroying of objects, Not Listening, Digging etc. What owners don't realize is that the anxiety they could start having can develop into aggressive behaviors if it is not addressed and fixed.

Now, there are owners out there that have the time to take their dogs to the dog park multiple times a day or on 2-3 walks a day. For some owners, their dog is able to go every where with them, which is great! However, doggy daycare will also help your dog be social with other people and socialize with other dogs and make friends! If you have a dog that is shy or is scared of strangers, doggy daycare facilities will take the time to help your dog overcome his/her fears!

My 2 year old German Shepherd/Lab mix is in both of these pictures at two different doggy daycare facilities, and let me tell ya, he is pooped after a day with his friends!
